Hello world!

Welcome to our very first blog post! We’ll be using this blog to give you an idea of what we do behind the scenes at the Museum of The Black Watch.

Right now we’re undergoing a major redevelopment that will involve the building of an extension to house a cafe, education room and new shop space, as well as a complete re-display of the galleries. The museum will close on 31 August 2012 and will reopen in spring 2013. Over the coming months we’ll keep you up to date with all the exciting news in regards to this project.

We’ll also be blogging with an object of the month, close looks at some of our ongoing volunteer projects, museum news, and whatever we think you might want to know! We’ve added our past Objects of the Month from our website so you can get an idea of the sort of things we might write about. If you already have something in mind that you’d like to know more about, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
