The redevelopment of The Black Watch Castle and Museum will bring many new and exciting opportunities for all involved. One of these opportunities is with our Volunteer Team. The contribution of Volunteers to the Museum is integral in enhancing our visitor experience, facilitating events, providing educational outreach and preserving the collection which tells the story of the iconic Black Watch Regiment.
To support us in providing our visitors with an unforgettable experience, we would love you to consider joining our Volunteer Team. If you would like to support your local Museum, maintain the legacy of The Black Watch Regiment for future generations and can give a few hours of your time to us each week, volunteering at the Castle and Museum might just be for you. We have a variety of Volunteer Roles available; Front of House Assistant, Café Assistant, Collections Assistant and Events Assistant. If you would like to see the full description for each role and learn more about our volunteers and their stories please take a look at our Volunteer webpages (link below).
We have arranged a Volunteer Open Day for those of you who are interested in Volunteering with us. If you would like to meet the Museum Team and find out more about Volunteering at the Castle and Museum and the opportunities available why not come along on Wednesday 16th January 2013, 10.00am – 8.30pm, The Royal George Hotel, Tay Street, Perth, PH1 5HR. I take this opportunity to thank The Royal George Hotel for the support they have given by providing the open day venue free of charge.
Over the next couple months some of our volunteers will be blogging about their experience helping out at the Museum. If you’d like to know more about what they do, keep an eye on this page!
If you are unable to attend the Open Day but would like to find out more you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator for an informal chat or view our volunteer webpages:
