    Particularly heavy casualties today – and presumably corresponding high ratio of wounded. What was the raid / battle?

    • Hi Roger, troops were moving up the lines in preparation for the attack on Aubers Ridge on the 9th under German artillery bombardment. 388 casualties the next day.
